Attorney General Reveals Inquiry into President's Opponents and Jeffrey Epstein Connections
On Friday, Pam Bondi designated Jay Clayton to lead an inquiry into political adversaries of the President and their connections with Jeffrey Epstein. This decision came hours after Trump instructed her to begin the probe.
During an announcement, the Attorney General highlighted Clayton as “a highly skilled and reliable legal expert”. The official added, “This case will be addressed with speed and honesty to ensure public transparency.”
This action seems to diverge from a July memo from justice department officials which stated that the Epstein files did not warrant further inquiries. As per the memo, authorities “did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties”

This news comes as increasing demands from the president on lawmakers to block the public disclosure of Epstein-related documents before an key congressional decision in the coming days. Several lawmakers are anticipated to support the disclosure.
