Skydance Paramount Will Remove Approximately 2,000 United States Roles – Report

Paramount Skydance will begin mass layoffs the week of 27 October, removing nearly 2,000 US jobs within a cost-cutting plan valued at $2bn under top executive David Ellison.

These job cuts follow the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed this past August worth $8.4bn.

More overseas workforce reductions are anticipated, with the company intending to reveal all specifics in its Q3 financial results on 10 November.

Previous updates stated the firm was looking to eliminate from 2,000 and 3,000 roles by the beginning of next month.

As of December 2024, Paramount had nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts along with 3,500 contract workers.

Paramount Skydance did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
