Two Individuals Charged with Inmate Homicide of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins
A pair of suspects stand accused of murder after the death in prison of ex-Lostprophets frontman and found guilty of child sex crimes Ian Watkins.
Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 stand indicted for homicide and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to police authorities.
Watkins, 48, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after admitting a string of sex offences including the effort to sexually assault an infant.
Watkins was arrested after the execution of a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were confiscated.
